Module 1: DLP & PDPA Foundations (Weeks 1-2) 8 hours
- 1.1 Introduction to Data Loss Prevention - Concepts, threats, and controls
- 1.2 PDPA Overview - Sri Lankan data protection legal framework
- 1.3 Data Classification - Sensitivity levels and handling requirements
- 1.4 Common Data Types - NIC, banking, health, employee data patterns
- Lab: Classify sample datasets using OpenDLP-LK patterns
Module 2: DLP Policy Management (Weeks 3-4) 10 hours
- 2.1 Policy Framework - Creating effective DLP policies
- 2.2 Detection Rules - Pattern matching and content inspection
- 2.3 Actions & Responses - Block, monitor, alert, encrypt
- 2.4 Department-Specific Policies - HR, Finance, Operations examples
- Lab: Create and test a department-specific DLP policy
Module 3: Incident Response (Weeks 5-6) 8 hours
- 3.1 Incident Types - Accidental vs. malicious, severity classification
- 3.2 Investigation Process - Evidence collection and analysis

- 3.4 Reporting Requirements - Internal and PDPA breach notification

Module 4: Training & Communication (Weeks 7-9) 10 hours
